Get to know Helen

Helen is a key support worker and plays a crucial role at Headway Norfolk and Waveney by providing one-to-one assistance to individuals with brain injuries.

As the name suggests, a key support worker is a key member of the support team, responsible for developing and maintaining a supportive and enabling relationship with the service user. They work closely with the service user to develop a person-centered care plan that addresses their specific needs, goals, and aspirations. This may include assisting with personal care, medication management, daily living skills, and emotional support.

Helen has previously worked with children and young adults who have additional needs, helping them to access activities in their local area and expanding social skills.

I thoroughly enjoy my job at Headway and find it tremendously rewarding. I love to see our clients progressing and this is what motivates me to do the best I can.

Helen loves to spend time with her family and friends and well as watching a good boxset with her husband. Helen really enjoys baking and painting, both of which she find very relaxing.
